If you are eating nutritionally correct food, and sticking with great one ingredient items, you are going to find great weight loss success! However, this can get pretty boring, and quick if you let it. Do not let yourself get into a food slump. Here are some great fresh ways to add flavor to your new food lifestyle!
Lemons
Lemons can bring great flavor either by the juice or the rind, either cooked or raw. They are great on roasted chicken, can bring water a great pick-up, and if you remove the rind from the zest, you can use the zest in any baked or saute dish. They will pick up any fresh herb flavor you want to add to protein or veggies, and can be baked in appropriate muffin recipes for a real kick!
Basil
If you have tomatoes, you need basil. A fresh growing herb, basil can be sprinkled on any tomato dish, salad or cheese side dish. If you are finding great artisan cheese, and add some cherry tomatoes, cut some basil on top, and add some olive oil and fresh thyme. You are going to love the flavor, and the smell. It is a member of the mint family, but has more of a savory taste. Enjoy it with the queen of toxin cleaning vegetables, the cucumber and your hard boiled eggs for a tasty lunch.
Hot Sauce
Being careful to read the label, you can find hot sauce that is nothing but good ingredients, and no chemicals. It is something you can put on anything, and you should evolve your taste buds toward. Use on eggs, tuna salad, and your chicken wings. How about a chicken wing barbeque? Make chicken wings by grilling off heat, then serving them with the hot sauce, some great blue cheese crumbled and mixed with pure sour creme, and your choice of veggies.
You will be so happy you tried them!
